**National Kidney Foundation Funding Opportunities for Clinical and Basic Research**
The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) has embarked upon a new initiative designed to increase support of clinical research through its Postdoctoral Fellowship, Young Investigator Grant and Clinical Scientist Award programs. This undertaking includes the establishment of a new Study Section which will review Fellowship and Young Investigator Grant proposals involving clinical research. Basic science applications will be reviewed by a separate Study Section which will evaluate all proposals involving basic research for all three funding mechanisms. To facilitate this new review process all applications for basic and clinical research support from the National Kidney Foundation must reach the NKF office by Friday, December 1, 2005.
