What are the U.S. Transplant Games?

The games are more than an athletic competition. They are the coming together of thousands of individuals who all share one thing in common; their lives have been touched by organ and tissue donation. The transplant games showcase the success of transplantation while calling attention to the critical need for donors.

Who Can Attend

There's something for everyone... transplant recipients, donor family members, living donors and their friends and family.
You don't need to be an accomplished athlete to participate; the U.S. Transplant Games are much more than a competition.
The games serve as testimony to the gift of life, both for those who have given and those who have received.

gamesLiving donors and donor family members may take part in recognition ceremonies and educational seminars. By attending the games you will meet transplant recipients, donor families and living donors.

Recipients who have received a lifesaving solid organ transplant or heterologous bone marrow and are at least six months post-transplant can choose to compete in one or more of the many sporting events.

Medals will be awarded to the top males and females in each category. While the games are an athletic competition, athletic ability is not a requirement to participate and in fact, many participants come just for the camaraderie.
