The National Kidney Foundation of Kentucky is pleased to invite you to participate in the Gift of Life Gala in Louisville. We will be honoring dedicated medical professionals and distinguished volunteers. The evening will be one of dining, dancing and bidding on silent and live auction items, all in the spirit of supporting the programs and services of the National Kidney Foundation of Kentucky.
You and your company have the opportunity to support the Gift of Life Gala through sponsorships or the donation of an in-kind service or product.
All proceeds will support our mission “to prevent kidney and urinary tract diseases, improve the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by these diseases, and increase the availability of all organs for transplantation.”
Twenty million Americans have chronic kidney disease and another 20 million are at risk. Anyone can get kidney disease. However some people are at greater risk including people who have:
- Diabetes
- High blood pressure
- A family history of chronic kidney disease
Today, there are more than 96,000 people waiting for an organ transplant and of those more than 71,000 people waiting for a kidney transplant. An average of 18 men, women and children die each and every day awaiting a life saving organ transplant.
